The Supreme Court of Dagestan has increased the sentence for Eldar Nasrulaev, who was found guilty of improper storage of ammonium nitrate following an explosion near a gas station on the outskirts of Makhachkala in August 2023. He was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison.

Mozdok resident Yulia Melnichenko held a picket outside the Russian Prosecutor General's Office for the second day in a row, demanding that a security officer be punished for beating her brother and that the repression against her family cease. Security officers detained her and released her three hours later, assuring her that the Prosecutor General's Office would not pursue her case.
