Armenian political analysts do not believe in intensification of protests after change in electricity tariffs

Believers of Shamkhal mosque report on five detainees
Today, the believers of the village of Shamkhal have held an unsanctioned rally in front of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) in Makhachkala. After the rally in Makhachkala, the Dagestani police detained several protesters. According to law enforcers, the believers started a fight inside the mosque. The believers claim a provocation arranged by the police.

Azerbaijani SC commutes sentence to oppositionist Elvin Abdullaev
The sentence to Elvin Abdullaev, an activist of the youth committee of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), has been commuted from 6 years down to 2.5 years of imprisonment. His defender, who insists on the verdict of acquittal, intends to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).

Court arrests property of "Domodedovo" Airport amounting to one billion roubles

Dagestani law enforcers report about involvement of militants in school arson
In Dagestan, the school which has been burnt down tonight in the village of Teletl of the Shamil District, is set on fire by militants. This was reported by a source from the regional law enforcement bodies. Law enforcers have identified four suspected militants who were involved in the arson of the school, the source reports.

Prosecutor's Office recognizes Erosi Kitsmarishvili's death as suicide
Erosi Kitsmarishvili, the former Ambassador of Georgia to Russia, the founder of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, committed suicide because of his debts. This was reported by an official of the Prosecutor's Office, who announced the completion of the investigation. Family members of Erosi Kitsmarishvili do not agree with the position of the Prosecutor's Office, reports advocate Gagi Mosiashvili.

Khadija Ismayilova amnestied in case of defamation
Journalist Khadija Ismayilova has been amnestied in the case, in which she was sentenced to a fine at the lawsuit filed by former oppositionist Elman Gasanov. Khadija Ismayilova has been exempted from the penalty. She intends to seek a verdict of acquittal.

Saint Petersburg’s Election Committee rejects application for referendum on Kadyrov Bridge
The Election Committee of Saint Petersburg refused to register the initiative group, which stands for holding referendum on naming one of the city bridges after Akhmat Kadyrov. This was reported today by Boris Vishnevsky, a Deputy of the City Legislative Assembly, who added that the decision of the Committee is illegitimate and would be surely appealed against.

Relatives of Rashidov and Ramazanov find witnesses of their kidnapping in Dagestan
Ramazan Rashidov and Shamil Ramazanov, who disappeared on June 16 and 17, were kidnapped by men in uniform. This was reported by relatives of the disappeared men.
