Six people killed in shootout in Grozny
As a result of an armed clash in the capital of Chechnya, six people were killed. According to preliminary information, one of the casualties is the 18-year-old Ibragim Mazhaev.

Experts find project of Azeri low-cost airline competitive

Authorities of Dagestan plan to reorganize remaining orphanages
The last two Dagestani orphanagesn, located in the cities of Izberbash and Kaspiysk will be re-profiled in 2017, said Djamal Ataev, the spokesman of the Republic's Ministry of Education and Sciences. According to the Ministry, the total number of orphans in Dagestan is 5678 people.

Chechnya: female employees of state agencies complain about enforcement to work in hijabs
According to women, working in state institutions of Chechnya, they were obliged to come to work in the garment, completely covering their hair and forehead. The order is spread exclusively in the oral form, said the women.

Stavropol Governor stands up for controversial land law
The aim of the law adopted in the Stavropol Territory, which has increased up to 2500 hectares the minimum land area allocated to tenants, is to protect land of the territory from outside influence, said Vladimir Vladimirov, the Governor. His statement in defence of the scandalous law was made three days after it was appealed against by the Prosecutor's Office.
