Rights defender: Chechen extradited from Poland kidnapped
Azamat Baiduev, who was extradited by the Polish authorities to Russia, was kidnapped from his house in the village of Shalazhi in the Urus-Martan District a day after his arrival in Chechnya. That was reported by Akhmed Gisaev, the leader of the Human Rights Analysis Centre.

North Ossetia's decision to combine mourning with Knowledge Day causes misunderstanding in Tskhinvali women
Residents of South Ossetia have supported the decision of the Republic's Ministry of Education and Sciences to postpone the Knowledge Day until September 5 in connection with the 14th anniversary of the terror act in Beslan. Residents of Chechnya associate change of Qadi in Shali with attacks on law enforcers
A new Islamic judge (Qadi) has been appointed in the Shali District of Chechnya; the teens who committed a series of attacks on policemen are natives of this district. North and South Ossetia split concerning mourning for victims of terrors act in Beslan
The authorities of North Ossetia have ignored the request of residents to postpone the start of the academic year from September 1 to September 4 because of the Day of Sorrow for the victims of the terror act in Beslan. Meanwhile, South Ossetia, which is another state the de jure, will celebrate the Day of Knowledge on September 5.
