Armenian parliament voted for abolition of death penalty in county

The National Assembly of Armenia ratified by 92 ayes with 1 nay Protocol 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights providing for the death penalty abolition.

Armenia undertook an obligation to ratify the above protocol when it joined the Council of Europe.
