The delay in salaries for the employees of the Nalchik motor depot has given rise to criticism of the authorities.

The administration of the Nalchik motor depot has not paid salaries for about a month and a half, complained one of the workers on social media. Other workers confirmed in the comments that salary delays occur regularly. Commentators criticized officials for the lack of control over the work of the motor depot and advised its employees to contact the labor inspection and the prosecutor's office.

The complaint from the employee of the Nalchik motor depot about salary delays was published on September 16 by the Instagram*-public goloskbr.

"In the motor depot of the trolleybus city of Nalchik, salaries have not been paid for a month and a half. They say, 'today, today,' but they do not pay," the complaint states.

This post in the Instagram*-public goloskbr, which has about 192 thousand followers, had received 91 likes and 47 comments by 16:15 MSK on September 17.

Local residents pointed out that salary delays in the motor depot occur regularly. "Every month it's the same story, I'm tired of it, honestly. There has been no salary since August, and today is already mid-September. They don't pay advances or salaries. They always feed us with promises, as if people go there for nothing. From early morning until late evening, people work, but do not receive their hard-earned money," wrote margo330509.

"Yes, every month it's the same story, I'm tired of living in anticipation: will they pay today or tomorrow," noted zoya_m2i.

"Listen, what is this mockery of people? Slavery was abolished in 1861, and these people still can't calm down. What are people supposed to live on? Breathe air? They pay pennies, and you have to wait for months for that. Will this problem ever be solved?" exclaimed user mikki_mouse32.

Other commentators advised workers to seek payment through supervisory authorities. "Write to the prosecutor's office and Rospotrebnadzor, let them sort it out," noted user magggn8844.

As of 16:15 MSK on September 17, there were no comments regarding the complaint from the employees of the motor depot about salary delays on the websites of the Nalchik administration and the municipal unitary enterprise "Nalchik Transport".

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that earlier Rosstat reported that the average salary of employees in organizations was 114,743 rubles. Residents of Kabardino-Balkaria, commenting on this report on social media, stated that their incomes are significantly lower than this amount and doubted that the figure reflects their real earnings.

Residents of the republic have repeatedly complained about salary delays. For example, on March 4, 2020, the prosecutor's office demanded that the employees of the company "Rial" in Prokhladny be paid more than three million rubles in arrears for December 2019 and an advance for January 2020. On April 1, 2019, the State Labor Inspectorate reported a debt of more than seven million rubles to 380 workers of the "Hydrometallurg" plant in Nalchik.
