The court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Ibragimov to six years in prison, finding him guilty of being absent from service for more than one month.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 24, 2022, parts 2.1, 3.1, and part 5 of article 337 regarding unauthorized abandonment of a unit or place of service during mobilization were introduced into the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The amendments provide for imprisonment for up to 10 years. The tightening of legislation after the announcement of mobilization has led to harsher sentences for absence from a military unit or desertion.

According to the case materials, serviceman Ibragimov voluntarily left service on April 24 and reported to the military investigative department in Nalchik on June 25. The investigation believes that during this time he was at his place of residence and spent his time at his discretion.

Ibragimov had previously been sentenced to five years and six months of conditional imprisonment with a probation period of three years for unauthorized abandonment of the unit. Taking these circumstances into account, the Nalchik garrison military court sentenced him to six years of imprisonment in a general regime colony, finding him guilty of being absent from service for more than one month, the court's press service reported today on its page in the social network "VKontakte".

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that earlier the court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Kadykoev to two years in prison for failing to appear at the military unit without a valid reason.
