The name of the soldier from Dagestan killed in the Kursk region has been revealed.

Roman Abdulaliev from the Tabasaransky district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have officially recognized at least 2110 combatants from Dagestan as killed there.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by September 8, officials and law enforcement agencies named the names of at least 2109 fighters from Dagestan killed in the combat zone in Ukraine.

A memorial plaque was opened at the school in the village of Gelinbatan in the Tabasaransky district for graduate Roman Abdulaliev, who was killed during the special military operation, the district administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Roman Abdulaliev was born on January 4, 2003, in the village of Maraga. In 2020, he graduated from the Gelinbatan school. In the same year, he entered the Rostov Military School, which he graduated from in 2023. After graduation, he was awarded the military rank of ensign and was sent for further service in the city of Katelnikov in the Volgograd region.

On May 31, 2025, Abdulaliev was sent on a business trip to the Kursk region to participate in the special military operation. On June 21, 2026, while acting as part of the crew of the 1st fire platoon of the 2nd howitzer artillery battery of the division, ensign Roman Abdulaliev (call sign "Vostok") was killed in the area of the village of Karyzh in the Kursk region, receiving severe shrapnel mine-explosive injuries.

He was awarded the medal "For Courage" and the Zhukov Medal.

Authorities recognized at least 9650 fighters from southern Russia as killed in Ukraine

At least 4798 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4852 military personnel from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the special operation in Ukraine.

Thus, at least 2110 servicemen from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the report of "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses for southern Russia are increasing".

Earlier, the administration of the Tabasaransky district reported that a memorial plaque was opened at the Arkitskaya secondary school for graduate Izzet Agasiev, who was killed during the special military operation.

Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the number of killed whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities.
