Two fighters from Dagestan were killed in the SVO zone

Gadzhisefer Seferbekov and Khanmagomed Khanmagomedov from the Tabasaransky district were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have officially recognized at least 2109 combatants from Dagestan as killed there.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by September 8, officials and law enforcement named at least 2107 fighters from Dagestan who were killed in the combat zone in Ukraine.

A memorial plaque was unveiled at the Gurik school in the Tabasaransky district for school graduates Gadzhisefer Seferbekov and Khanmagomed Khanmagomedov, who were killed during the military operation, the district administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Gadzhisefer Seferbekov was 45 years old, Khanmagomed Khanmagomedov was 27 years old, both voluntarily went to the combat zone. Both were killed in July 2026.

Both servicemen were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

Authorities recognized at least 9650 fighters from southern Russia as killed in Ukraine

At least 4798 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4852 military personnel from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the special operation in Ukraine.

Thus, at least 2109 servicemen from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "SVO Statistics: Losses for Southern Russia are Growing".

Earlier, the administration of the Tabasaransky district reported that memorial plaques were opened in the school of the village of Kheli-Pendzhik for the killed participants of the SVO, graduates Farid Shikhov and Dashdemir Ismailov.

Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the number of killed whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. Sergey Melikov, who headed Dagestan in February 2022, was the first among the authorities to announce that a Russian soldier had been killed in Ukraine, acknowledging the death of officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov.
