The Central District Court of Sochi satisfied the prosecutor's claims against the municipal unitary enterprise "Vodokanal" for compensation for damage caused to the environment.

It was established that "Vodokanal" operated waste management activities from March 2023 to October 2025 without the appropriate license, which led to soil contamination on a land plot of 10 hectares.

The prosecutor filed a lawsuit against the legal entity and its beneficiaries, and the court satisfied the claims in full, imposing a lien on the property of the legal entity and individuals.

Earlier, in June, Rosprirodnadzor revoked the comprehensive environmental permit from "Vodokanal" due to identified violations of environmental legislation, informs "Yuga.ru".
