Algae have led to the absence of tourists on the Anapa beach.

Rotting algae are not being removed from the Central (therapeutic) beach of Anapa, resulting in a sharp smell and the absence of vacationers, reported a blogger. However, according to him, such a situation exists in part of the beach, where there are fewer algae, and people are already swimming.

Permits from Rospotrebnadzor have already been received for 111 beaches in Anapa. Earlier in August, satellite imagery recorded the continued leakage of oil products from the sunken "Volgoneft" tankers in the Kerch Strait. "These beaches have become so yellow, it’s unrecognizable," commented Dmitry.

"After a hundred meters, there are so many people that an apple has nowhere to fall. We just returned from the lounge zone. It’s completely packed. And on the therapeutic beach, this stench has been here for a long time, at least two weeks ago when we arrived, it was already there," writes Sergey Sapunov.

"In the video, there are no people. I’ve already written several times. The crowd starts from the lounge zone. There are also a lot of clumps there, but at least they are fresh. And on the therapeutic beach, it’s really just seagulls for a long time," the blogger replied during a discussion in the comments.

The resort season in Anapa opened against a sharp contrast in the state of the coastline. Some beaches are open and recognized as safe, while other areas are closed due to erosion, unstable soil, and environmental risks.
