The Astrakhan authorities have decided to reduce the limit on gasoline sales at gas stations.

The limit for the sale of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline at gas stations in the Astrakhan region has been decided to be reduced to 30 liters per person per day.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on August 13, the limit for gasoline sales in the Astrakhan region of 40 liters was reintroduced at gas stations, and some city gas stations returned to a limited mode of operation. On August 17, the authorities announced that a regime for fuel sales on even and odd days tied to vehicle registration numbers is being reintroduced.

The governor of the Astrakhan region, Igor Babushkin, reported on August 25 in his Telegram channel that against the backdrop of a difficult situation with fuel in the country, supplies to the region are "stable, without a decrease in volumes, at the level of the previous period".

However, Babushkin noted the "behavior of a number of motorists" who create "artificial barriers" and ignore "the requirements of mutual respect, and often - the law". According to the governor, it is they who create social tension among residents. He appealed to law enforcement officers to check the "activities of individuals organizing unregulated waiting lists at gas stations, as well as motorists leaving their vehicles on central highways". Because of them, other motorists face difficulties refueling, queues appear in two rows, and emergency situations arise.

Babushkin also noted that regional authorities, having analyzed the situation and consulted with fuel suppliers, decided to reduce the fuel release of 92 and 95 gasoline to 30 liters per person. This, he claims, will allow for increased operating hours of gas stations and the number of refueled vehicles per day.

In conclusion, the governor reminded that the school year is starting soon and special attention needs to be paid to refueling school buses, as well as vehicles of fishing companies before the start of the fishing season "as a key industry for the region".
