On August 19, the head of Khasavyurt Korgoli Korgoliev and the chairman of the city Assembly of Deputies Khadzhimurad Umakhanov presented the Zhukov medal to the wife of Shamil Shemeev, who was killed in the special military operation, the city administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Details of the military's biography and death were not provided in the official message.

Thus, at least 2076 combatants from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation.
