Alina Djikaeva admitted guilt in bribing a police officer.

The editor-in-chief of "Sapa", Alina Djikaeva, admitted her guilt in transferring money to a police officer for information about incidents for subsequent publication. She explained that she admitted her guilt after the wording about a crime committed by a group of individuals was removed from the case.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on June 10, the arrest of the editor-in-chief of "Sapa", Alina Djikaeva, was extended for a month.

Alina Djikaeva admitted guilt in bribing a police officer, the investigation into the case has been completed, her lawyer Nver Gasparyan said.

"Journalist Djikaeva Alina admitted guilt in transferring money from 2020 to 2025 in the amount of approximately 5-10 thousand rubles to a police officer for providing information about incidents for posting it on her Telegram channel," – reported today by RIA "Novosti" citing his words.

Djikaeva admitted guilt and expressed remorse for bribing an operational duty officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Makhachkala, Shamsutdin Shamsutdinov, in the amount of at least 285 thousand rubles, TASS reported.

Djikaeva herself Alina Djikaeva explained that she previously denied her guilt because she was accused under the article of a crime committed by a group of individuals. After this wording was removed from the case, she admitted her guilt. The text of Djikaeva's statement was published today in her Telegram channel "Bouquet of Wild Garlic".

Djikaeva explained that her actions were related to her work in the Telegram channel "Baza" and had no relation to the activities of "Sapa". According to her, she cooperated with the police officer in a different format than the investigation insists. "Many journalists have contacts in law enforcement agencies that allow them to obtain information slightly earlier than others. This information was not directed against the state authorities, did not disclose details of anyone's personal life, and did not compromise anyone. Moreover, this same information appeared on the official pages of the agency an hour or so later," Djikaeva noted.

She added that a court hearing on the selection of a preventive measure for her will take place on July 9. The investigator stated that he would file a petition to keep Djikaeva in pre-trial detention until September. "Until September, can you imagine! Another two months of torment and despair, not knowing how the children are doing, what they are living on, and how they are growing. Terrible," Djikaeva noted.

The Moscow City Court left the editor-in-chief of the Telegram channel "Sapa" in pre-trial detention, the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction reported today.

"The appellate instance of the Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow to extend the detention period until July 12, 2026, regarding Djikaeva Alina Guliverovna," the press service noted in its Telegram channel.

Recall that police officer Shamsutdin Shamsutdinov previously agreed with the charges of exceeding authority and receiving a bribe. According to the investigation's version, the police officer provided Djikaeva with information about incidents in Dagestan and North Ossetia along with personal data of their participants for money.
