On May 28, the Day of First Republic, President of Armenia will make a statement on announcing amnesty to those who were sentenced under the case on events in March 1, 2008, in Yerevan. This was stated to journalists by Ovik Abramyan, Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, in his answer to the question about any possible amnesty to opposition's activists.

Seifudin Kaziahmedov who was killed today in Makhachkala was once the head of the investigatory group in charge of the criminal case about the terror act committed in Kaspiisk on May 9, 2002. In the end of 2008, he was appointed deputy head of the Investigatory Department for Dagestan of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia.
