The General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Abkhazia is clearing out the reason of the fire that burst out in the Sukhumi Clinical Hospital on November 9 and caused human deaths. According to GPO officials, the ignition was a result of breaching fire safety regulations.

Today, the court has considered the complaint of lawyer Sapiyat Magomedova, who was beaten by militiamen on June 17 in the GOVD (City Interior Division) of Khasavyurt. The court has satisfied the petition lodged by Magomedova's advocates and asking to conduct a forensic examination of the records presented by the investigation. According to the defence, the documents have attributes of a service forgery.

A court in Karachaevo-Cherkesia has pronounced a sentence on a driver who had knocked down to death Bella Ksalova, reporter of "Caucasian Knot". Arsen Abaikhanov will spend three years and three months in a penal colony settlement. Abaikhanov has acknowledged his guilt entirely saying he was ready for punishment for what he had done.
