The property of former Vice-Governor of Kuban Nesterенко has been confiscated.

The court seized the property of former Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Krai Alexander Nesterенко and his wife for more than 20 million rubles for the benefit of the state.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", at the end of August, the court sentenced former Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Krai Alexander Nesterенко to nine years in a penal colony with the recovery of 146.7 million rubles in property damage, finding him guilty of exceeding his official powers. He is also prohibited from holding positions in public service and local government for three years.

The Prikuban District Court of Krasnodar has seized the property of former Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Krai Alexander Nesterенко and his wife for the benefit of the state, writes "Kommersant" on November 6.

The court established that from 2022 to 2024, the Nesterenkos acquired property totaling more than 20 million rubles, which exceeded the officially confirmed income of the family. When declaring the property, Nesterенко provided false and incomplete information about his wife's income.

In addition to the confiscation of residential property and a car, the court ordered a change in the wording of Nesterенко's dismissal. Instead of leaving at his own initiative, the documents must state that he was dismissed due to loss of trust for a corruption offense. Within five days, the former official must submit his work record book to the administration of Krasnodar Krai for amendments.

Aleksandr Nesterенко was arrested in May 2025. The day before, he was dismissed due to "lack of results" in the construction sector. In June, the court placed him under house arrest. In early May 2026, his case was submitted for court consideration. The official was previously accused of abuse of office, later the investigation reclassified the charge to three episodes of exceeding official powers during the major repairs of schools in the Kherson region. In court, he stated that he did not cause material damage.
