Activists demanding the release of political prisoners and a return of Georgia to the Euro-Atlantic course gathered today near the building of the Parliament and the City Council of Tbilisi for the 671st evening in a row. Supporters of Georgia's Euro-integration, as in previous days, brought national flags, flags of the European Union, the USA, and Ukraine. The activists had posters saying "20% of my country is occupied by Russia", "Kots equals shame", "Everyone will regret being kots 1 " and "Georgian land belongs to the people", according to photos published by photographer Giorgi Mosiashvili (Mo Se) and Netgazeti on Facebook*.

A poster with the words "One less political prisoner" was dedicated to the release of opposition activist from the "Coalition for Change", protest participant Gela Khasaya, who was present at the rally.

Khasaya, who in May entered into a procedural agreement with the prosecution, was released from prison only this morning after a year of detention, reports Tbilisi life.

Protest participants in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024.
