The Anapa administration announced a ban on swimming in the sea due to a storm and bottom currents. Despite the worsening weather, people are swimming in the sea, and no lifeguards are observed on the beach, noted a blogger.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 12, bloggers reported that Anapa beaches are filled with vacationers, and there are more people on the beaches than in summer.

Swimming on Anapa beaches is prohibited, the city administration announced today on its Telegram channel.

"On September 23, due to the storm and strong bottom currents, swimming in the sea is temporarily prohibited. The Civil Defense and Population Protection Department warns: be careful, do not put your life and health at unnecessary risk," the message states.

As of 18:07 Moscow time, no comments have been posted under the administration's publication.

Anapa blogger reported the absence of lifeguards on the shore

Blogger Yuri Ozarovsky also noted the bad weather. "The sea is already stormy; those planning to swim should know that swimming is prohibited," he wrote at 12:49 Moscow time on his Telegram channel "Yuri Ozarovsky Anapa Vityazevo Dzhemete" (46.8 thousand subscribers).

At 12:11 Moscow time, the blogger posted another publication, noting that people are swimming despite the ban. He illustrated the post with a video taken on the beach. The footage shows strong winds on the coast, and at least a dozen vacationers, including children, are in the water and on the shore.

"There are a lot of people whom no lifeguards are warning that swimming is prohibited," Ozarovsky says in the video.

He pointed out a man who is entering the sea against the waves and pulling his companion along. "Look, the guy is dragging his woman. People really just do not understand that this is dangerous for life," the blogger comments off-screen.

In the video annotation, Ozarovsky emphasized again that he did not see any lifeguards on the shore. "Danger, attention! The sea is stormy! Swimming is prohibited! I did not see any lifeguards!" he wrote.

The video published by the blogger does not allow for a definitive conclusion that lifeguards were absent on the beach at the time of filming. However, throughout the two-minute video, only Ozarovsky's voice, the sound of wind, and waves are heard, and no announcements from loudspeakers are audible.
