Residents of Volgograd reported a reduction in queues against the backdrop of a continuing gasoline shortage.

The fuel situation in the Volgograd region is gradually stabilizing against the backdrop of increased supply volumes, the authorities reported. Residents of Volgograd, discussing the fuel crisis on social media, reported that at some gas stations they are able to refuel without queues or after a short wait. Other residents complained about the lack of gasoline.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 15, residents of Volgograd disputed the governor's statement Andrei Bocharov that the problem of supplying gas stations (GS) with gasoline is being resolved. The day before, residents of the region reported queues, empty gas stations, and an exacerbation of the shortage ahead of the elections.

The fuel situation in the Volgograd region is stabilizing, reported the committee for industrial policy, trade, and the fuel and energy complex (FEC) of the Volgograd region.

"Due to the increase in supply volumes, the fuel situation in the Volgograd region is gradually stabilizing," the message published today on the committee's page on the social network "VKontakte" said.

The post dedicated to the fuel crisis in the Volgograd region was published by the Instagram*-public bloknot_volgograd, which has about 207 thousand users. As of 20:00 MSK on September 17, this post received 103 likes and 23 comments.

Some users, identifying themselves as drivers, reported that they were able to refuel quickly or without queues. "During the morning rush hour at eight in the morning, I refueled in 20 minutes in the center, Lukoil, Rokossovsky St. (opposite the family 'Magnit')," wrote pima.34.

"I refueled today in about seven minutes at the Vip Oil station in Sovietsky opposite 'Lenta'. I'm shocked," noted solo_salon_vlg. "Today I refueled 95 without any problems and without a queue. At 'Rosneft' on Vodstroi," reported doctor_gala.

Other users indicated that the shortage persists and finding gasoline is not easy everywhere. "I went out at eight in the evening with my child. I drove around the whole Voroshilovsky, Zhukova, Troika – there was neither gasoline nor queues," wrote morozovavlg.

"In Volgograd, no one is solving the problem. It's normal in other places – free. Where do they get gasoline? Why can't Volgograd? I don't understand. Many businesses have started with this... As always, ordinary people suffer," wrote rabiat.kurbanova.

"There is no gasoline! And there are no queues, as there is no gasoline. They let in the cool cars, for the ordinary mortal – there is no gasoline. Officials have divided people by classes, businesses can refuel, but the mortals cannot," complained user albasergius.

Some commentators reacted skeptically to reports of improvements in the fuel situation and linked the authorities' report to the upcoming elections. "Well, we talked. Let's go stand in line," wrote natashaslipehko. "They prepared for the elections," noted user ruzl314.

Recall that on August 31, Volgograd motorists complained about huge queues and the absence of gasoline, which ran out at the gas stations in Volgograd by the end of the day. On September 5, the queues turned into multi-hour waits, with some drivers leaving their cars at non-working GSs in hopes of fuel delivery. On September 10, residents of Volgograd reported a reduction in queues and an increase in the number of working gas stations, linking the improvement to the upcoming elections.
