A soldier from Dagestan killed in Ukraine

Ramazan Abdurakhmanov from the Tabasaransky district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have acknowledged at least 2114 military personnel from Dagestan killed there.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by September 12, officials and law enforcement named at least 2113 combatants from Dagestan killed in the combat zone in Ukraine and near the border.

A memorial plaque was installed at the Zil school in the Tabasaransky district for graduate Ramazan Abdurakhmanov, who was killed in the special military operation, the district administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Ramazan Abdurakhmanov, a 56-year-old veteran of the law enforcement agencies, voluntarily went to the front in 2024 and was killed in April 2025. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

Thus, at least 2114 military personnel from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".

Earlier, the administration of the Tabasaransky district reported that Roman Abdulaliev was killed in the military operation.

Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the number of killed whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. Sergey Melikov, who headed Dagestan in February 2022, was the first among the authorities to announce that a Russian soldier had been killed in Ukraine, acknowledging the death of officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, according to the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three comrades served: how the authorities deprive the families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. In particular, the widow of one of the killed recounted that without a body, the battalion did not make payments related to the death of the serviceman.
