Officials reported on the water supply in Darbakh after residents appealed to Kadyrov.

Residents of the village of Darbakh received access to centralized water supply after appealing to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, during a live call-in, officials reported.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", residents of Chechnya periodically complain about water supply issues. For instance, on July 26, 2025, residents of several settlements in the republic complained about water interruptions, with residents of the village of Petropavlovsk stating that the problem has persisted for about 20 years. On February 4, 2024, social media users criticized the Grozny city administration's call to endure water interruptions and reported long outages without warnings. On June 5, 2022, residents of Grozny, Gudermes, Achkhoy-Martan, Goity, and other settlements also reported problems with water supply.

A centralized water supply system was opened in the Darbakh rural settlement of the Gudermes district, providing access to about three thousand residents. Previously, residents of Darbakh asked the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, to bring drinking water to the village during a live call-in on December 14, 2025. After the appeal, Kadyrov instructed to resolve the issue, noted on September 4 by IA "Grozny-inform".

As part of the project, 26.6 thousand meters of water supply networks were laid, two artesian wells were drilled, four clean water tanks were installed, and 118 fire hydrants were indicated in the publication.

On December 15, 2025, ChGTRK "Grozny" reported on Kadyrov's instructions and plans to start construction of 26 kilometers of water supply networks from January 1 of the current year. According to the channel, residents of Darbakh have faced drinking water problems since the 1990s, and due to the lack of a quality source, many villagers were forced to use sulfur water.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on September 18-20, elections for the head of the republic will take place in Chechnya, in which Kadyrov is again running for this position.

Of the last three votes, in which Kadyrov retained the position of head of Chechnya, two were direct elections. In 2021, Kadyrov, according to official data, received 99.7% of the votes. In 2016, his official result was 97.94%. In 2011, direct elections were not held: all deputies of the People's Assembly of Chechnya supported Kadyrov's reappointment for a new term, meaning he was voted for by 100% of the participating deputies.

Voting in Chechnya was accompanied by reports from residents and assessments from analysts about possible falsifications. For example, on September 20, 2021, residents of the republic reported that teachers and medical workers were forced to vote multiple times at different polling stations, and also reported about the stuffing of pre-filled ballots. In March 2018, an analyst pointed out several groups of polling stations with almost identical results and called such coincidences "Kadyrov's peaks," linking them to the indicators set by the electoral commissions.
