Imam Tamaskhanov was fined for failing to report a crime.

The Magas District Court found Imam Muhammad Tamaskhanov guilty of failing to report a terrorist crime due to the activities of the Gurazhev group and sentenced him to a fine of 30,000 rubles.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the trial of Imam Muhammad Tamaskhanov, accused of failing to report a crime, began in the Magas District Court of Ingushetia in February. At the hearing on April 1, a secret witness under the pseudonym "Pliev" gave contradictory testimony: he claimed to have attended prayers at the mosque, but could not name its address or describe the building. A large group of supporters of the imam attends all hearings in Tamaskhanov's case, with his supporters coming from various settlements in the republic. At the next hearing, witness Alihan Ozdoev told the court that he had given investigators false testimony against the religious figure.

Judge Rashid Tsitskiyev of the Magas District Court imposed a fine on Imam Tamaskhanov despite the complete lack of real evidence and facts of guilt. According to the judge's decision, the religious figure was fined 30,000 rubles, reports the Instagram*-public of the imam's supporters mechet_za_kanalom.

On the day of the verdict, more than 100 people came to support the imam. Concerned residents of Ingushetia came to the courthouse to express their support for the imam. Community representatives and mosque elders addressed those gathered, expressing concern about the course and outcomes of this case.

According to those present, the defense completely dismantled the prosecution in court. "Refusal of testimony: one of the key witnesses with the surname Ozdoev openly stated in court that he had lied in his previous testimony. The failure of the secret witness: the second witness under secret status claimed that he had attended the mosque where the imam preached for a whole year. However, he could not answer basic questions from the lawyers and describe the building, causing laughter throughout the courtroom," the supporters of Tamaskhanov stated.

After the court, Tamaskhanov stated that he was blamed for something he had no relation to. "This case was fabricated. This is just a test in earthly life. The main and most just court is with Allah. Yes, it was hard and unpleasant, but what can we do? Such is the will of the Almighty. Therefore, we cannot give up and will not give up, such is life," he commented.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that Ingush theologian and public figure Akhmed Tangiev, detained by security forces in the village of Bazorkino in the Prigorodny district, is involved in a case of participation in a terrorist organization.
