Baku will send 17 tankers of diesel fuel to Yerevan

989 tons of diesel fuel will be sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia by rail.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 21, petroleum products had been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia: about 15 thousand tons of diesel fuel and about 5 thousand tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline.

Azerbaijan will send another batch of diesel fuel to Armenia.

17 tankers with 989 tons of diesel will be sent from the Bilyadzhari station of the Azerbaijan Railways in the direction of the Boyuk-Kyasik station, Report reports.

Previously, about 15 thousand tons of diesel fuel and nearly 5 thousand tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline had been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

In addition, over 55 thousand tons of grain, about 9 thousand tons of fertilizers, 1,414 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminum, 1,114 tons of coal, and 334 tons of wood were sent from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan in transit.

It is worth noting that in October 2025, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced the lifting of all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia. In early November 2025, a shipment of Russian grain arrived in Armenia through Azerbaijan for the first time since the 1990s. The Armenian authorities stated that this fulfilled one of the agreements reached in the USA, contributing to strengthening peace between Yerevan and Baku.

On February 4, Aliyev and Pashinyan discussed the initiated economic cooperation at a meeting in the UAE and agreed to seek opportunities to expand trade. Although trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is mutually beneficial, it is expected to be limited in the near future, according to Baku analysts.
