The serviceman was convicted in Nalchik for absence from the unit.

The Nalchik garrison military court sentenced serviceman Kadykoev to two years in a general regime colony for failing to appear for service in his military unit without a valid reason.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 24, 2022, parts 2.1, 3.1, and part 5 of article 337 regarding desertion or leaving the unit during mobilization were introduced into the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The amendments provide for imprisonment for up to 10 years. The tightening of legislation after the announcement of mobilization led to harsher sentences for absence from the military unit or desertion.

The Nalchik garrison military court issued a sentence on August 27 to serviceman Kadykoev, finding him guilty of crimes under part 3.1 of article 337, reports the court's press service on its official website.

The court established that Kadykoev did not report for service in his military unit at the appointed time during mobilization on June 30, 2026. On July 27, Kadykoev voluntarily arrived at the military investigative department in Nalchik, and from June 30 to July 27, he spent his time at his place of residence at his discretion.

Kadykoev admitted his guilt and expressed regret for his actions. The court sentenced him to two years of imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a general regime colony.

The court's press service did not name the serviceman in the announcement; however, according to the criminal case card on the court's website, the convicted individual is Teymuraz Kadykoev. The case was submitted to the court on August 21, and the sentence was issued by Judge Lazarev at the very first hearing on August 27.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Nalchik garrison military court sentenced serviceman Vazarov to six years in a general regime colony for failing to appear for service in his military unit twice without a valid reason.
