Merakishvili again asked Kambolov to allow her to return to South Ossetia.

Tamara Merakishvili called on the acting head of South Ossetia, Marat Kambolov, to address the situation regarding her expulsion and allow her to return from Georgia to her homeland. She reminded that it is the president's duty, for the position of which Kambolov is running, to protect the constitutional rights of the residents.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 2, Tamara Merakishvili published an open appeal to the acting president of South Ossetia, Marat Kambolov, in which she asked to ensure her safe return to Leningor and to return her documents. The activist also demanded an internal investigation regarding the police officers of Leningor for their inaction. The appeals went unanswered.

Tamara Merakishvili published a new video appeal to the acting president of South Ossetia Marat Kambolov asking to allow her to return to her homeland. She pointed out that she is a citizen of South Ossetia by birth, has lived her whole life in the village of Leningor, and her parents still live there today.
"I have been living without my home for 7 months and 10 days. It all started because I did not want to put up with what was happening in our area, with corruption, chaos, and so on. I spoke about this publicly. All of this angered Alan Gagloev," she says in the video appeal, which is posted, among other places, on the Telegram channel "Bonvarnon".

According to the civil activist, she has still not received any news about the progress of the investigation into the espionage case against her. Attempts to contact the investigator or write to the hotline of the KGB of South Ossetia end with her number being blocked.

"I ask you to take my problem under personal control and resolve it. You are running for the presidency. The president's duty is to be the guarantor of the Constitution for every resident. You are not running to fix water, sewage, or solve transportation problems, as you were told in Leningor. You are running for president to ensure that the constitutional rights of every resident are protected, and that no indigenous residents, citizens by birth, are expelled," Merakishvili addressed Kambolov, adding that she is ready to come for a meeting with him even for 10 minutes.

"If you let me in (to South Ossetia) for at least 10 minutes, I am ready to explain to you in the presence of everyone who spoke against me in court that I am right, and the accusations of espionage are fantasies of Alan Gagloev," Merakishvili concluded.

In another appeal, she pointed out facts of corruption in the Leningor district hospital. According to Merakishvili, her father, Akaki Merakishvili, used to work as a janitor in the hospital and was fired a year and a half ago. However, Tamara Merakishvili stated that he is still officially employed there, and his salary is regularly credited. "My father is not the only one among the 'dead souls' who are registered in the Leningor hospital. This happens in other institutions as well, where 'dead souls' are registered and the management receives salaries for them. This situation exists in the Leningor culture department, in the education department. Because of this, local residents cannot find jobs. Therefore, the district is emptying, people are leaving,
because they cannot find work," Tamara Merakishvili said.

The head of the republic's government, Marat Kambolov, was appointed as the acting president of South Ossetia.
