Garbage on the beach caused outrage among the residents of Tuapse

One of the residents of Tuapse complained to Teleram about the accumulation of garbage on the Central Beach, where increased water pollution with petroleum products had previously been recorded. Other Tuapse residents, commenting on his post, urged officials to organize waste removal, and one of the townspeople pointed out the lack of special containers for contaminated pebbles.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", studies of sea water samples taken on May 17 at seven beaches in the Tuapse area showed that the highest level of pollution with petroleum products was recorded at the Central and Primorsky beaches of Tuapse.

One of the residents of Tuapse took photographs of the garbage accumulated on the Central Beach, which were published today by the Telegram channel "My Tuapse". According to the author of the photos, the garbage has not been removed from the beach for about two weeks.

In two photographs, overflowing garbage containers can be seen, around which a large number of bags and sacks of waste are piled on the tiles. Nearby are beach infrastructure and the sea.

As of 15:00 Moscow time, this post in the Telegram channel "My Tuapse", which has more than 56.3 thousand subscribers, received 54 reactions and six comments.

Commentators argued about who should be responsible for cleaning the beach. "The main thing is to help each other maintain order, not to film videos, but to take a garbage bag and help clean up the trash. Clean-up days used to be held regularly," wrote del.

He was disagreed with by Senni Art. "Well, the garbage is not lying on the beach, but is organized around the trash bins. The other thing is that the garbage is not being removed. <...> Maybe it would be better if the 'beach owners' paid for the removal of garbage by a specialized organization with which a contract has been signed?" he wrote.

Some users linked the situation to the fact that the Central Beach is officially closed. "There is no beach tenant this year, so they don't remove it, and the beach is officially closed," stated Anastasia.

Another user talked about collecting contaminated pebbles on the beach and complained about the lack of containers intended for such waste. "Recently, I observed a scene: people are collecting contaminated pebbles on the beach <...>, but there are no specialized containers for their collection and disposal. 'Rosneft', the district administration, is it really so hard to install one container for collecting such waste on the city beaches and in Vesna?" wrote Gud gut Waldemar.

As of 15:00 Moscow time on August 12, there are no comments on the website of the Tuapse municipal district administration regarding the complaint about the garbage not being removed from the Central Beach.
