The Rostov region was subjected to a massive drone attack.

Air defense forces neutralized more than 70 drones in the Rostov region last night.

According to the governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusary, last night air defense forces neutralized more than 70 drones in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and seven districts of the region – Chertkovsky, Millerovsky, Kamensky, Sholokhovsky, Verkhne-Don, Belokalitvinsky, and Tarasovsky.

"No information about casualties or damage on the ground has been received," Slyusary wrote today on his Telegram channel.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Rostov region is regularly subjected to drone attacks. For instance, on August 2, a fire occurred at an elevator in the Millerovsky district due to the fall of drone debris . On the night of July 25, four people were injured in Rostov-on-Don and one in the Krasnosulinsky district during a drone attack. On July 20, the fall of drone debris led to a forest fire in the Sholokhovsky district, and on July 19, for the same reason, a wheat field in the Krasnosulinsky district caught fire.

Against the backdrop of drone attacks on oil refineries (ORFs), including those located in southern Russia, a fuel problem has arisen. Earlier, residents of Rostov-on-Don reported that fuel prices in the city have risen. They noted that the maximum price of gasoline grades AI-92 and AI-95 increased by about a third at local gas stations in just two days.

It should be noted that against the backdrop of drone attacks on oil refineries, including those located in southern Russia, a fuel crisis has emerged. The fuel problem has caused a sharp increase in demand for the installation of gas cylinder equipment. In auto services, customer queues have stretched for several months ahead, and the cost of equipment has nearly doubled.

Analysts previously noted that the long wait forces motorists to turn to "gray" installers who do not guarantee the safety of the equipment.

At the same time, analysts believe that the mass installation of gas equipment will not help overcome the fuel crisis, as the necessary infrastructure is still lacking.

Creating such infrastructure in a short time is impossible, said Alexander Frolov, deputy director general of the National Energy Institute. "However, the current crisis is a good reason to remember the programs that already exist but are developing much slower than planned," he noted.

Leading analyst of the National Energy Security Fund Igor Yushkov suggested that the mass transition of drivers to gas will not become a long-term trend. In his opinion, after the fuel problem is resolved and queues at gas stations disappear, the excitement around the installation of gas equipment will decline.
