Slyusar promised additional support to the families of those who died near Gelendzhik

The authorities of the Rostov region promised additional payments to the families of the children from Shakhty who died in Kuban. Two more residents of the Rostov region, injured during the drone attack near Gelendzhik, remain in the hospital.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on August 3, the authorities of the Krasnodar region announced seven dead and 40 injured as a result of the drone attack in the village of Arkhipo-Osipovka near Gelendzhik. On August 4, the operational headquarters of Kuban announced that the number of those injured in the drone attack in Arkhipo-Osipovka increased to 58 people. Two of the deceased children came to the Krasnodar region from the city of Shakhty in the Rostov region, said the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar.

The families of the two children from the city of Shakhty, who died as a result of the drone crash on the beach near Gelendzhik, will receive an additional payment from the regional budget, said the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar.

The amount of additional payments will be 500 thousand rubles, and in total, the families of the deceased will receive more than 2 million.

"In addition to the mandatory payments provided for by federal legislation, which amount to more than one and a half million rubles, we decided to additionally allocate from the regional government half a million rubles each," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.

Slyusar added that two residents of the Rostov region who were injured during the drone attack remain in a hospital in Krasnodar. According to him, the doctors assess the patients' condition as stable.

The mayor of Gelendzhik, Alexey Bogodistov, reported on August 5 that the relatives of the deceased will receive 1 million 567 thousand rubles each, while the injured will receive payments of 627 thousand rubles and 313.5 thousand rubles, depending on the severity of the health damage.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in November 2025, the authorities of the Volgograd region promised 1 million rubles in material assistance to the family of a man who died during a drone attack in Volgograd on the night of November 6 from falling glass shards. Telegram users criticized the officials, stating that this is an insufficient amount and that the authorities should be held accountable for the results of the air defense work near residential areas.
