Azerbaijan has declared its readiness to supply gas to Ukraine.

Azerbaijan is ready to supply natural gas to Ukraine if necessary and is considering the use of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities to strengthen regional energy security, said the head of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", Azerbaijan's support for Ukraine's territorial integrity is a subject of disagreement between Moscow and Baku, but it should not affect Russian-Azerbaijani relations, said Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called the crisis in relations with the Russian Federation resolved. Relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are emerging from a period of crisis, but their new model will be built on different conditions. Baku demonstrates greater independence in foreign policy, while Moscow is interested in maintaining cooperation with Azerbaijan as an important regional partner, Azerbaijani analysts noted. According to him, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR has long been present in the Ukrainian market, continues to actively operate in the country, and has large plans for further development of energy cooperation.

"Currently, there is a very dynamic and active dialogue regarding mutually beneficial additional directions of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine," the minister noted.

It should be noted that in July 2025, Ukraine signed an agreement with Azerbaijan for a test supply of a small volume of gas to Ukraine via the Trans-Balkan corridor through Bulgaria and Romania.
