Most ministers retained their posts in Pashinyan's new government.

Almost all ministers retained their positions in the new government of Armenia, which is again headed by Nikol Pashinyan. The only new member of the cabinet is the Minister of High-Tech Industry, David Tadevosyan.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", at the first meeting of the Armenian parliament of the IX convocation on August 2, the ruling party nominated Ruben Rubinyan as the sole candidate for the position of Speaker of the National Assembly, while Nikol Pashinyan's government resigned. The Catholicos of All Armenians was absent for the first time at the first meeting of parliament, but the deputies of the factions "Strong Armenia" and "Armenia" immediately after the meeting arrived in Echmiadzin to receive the blessing of the Supreme Patriarch.

Decrees on the appointment of all 12 ministers have been published on the website of the President of Armenia. 11 of them retained their positions: Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, Minister of Environment Ambarzum Matevosyan, Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, and Minister of Finance Vage Ovanisyan.

David Tadevosyan replaced Mkhitar Ayrapetyan as Minister of High-Tech Industry, who had held this position since December 29, 2023. Both Deputy Prime Ministers, Mger Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan, have also been reappointed, reports the news agency "News-Armenia".

The decrees were signed by the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan. The day before, he signed a decree appointing Pashinyan as Prime Minister, notes "Interfax".

The new government has been formed in line with Pashinyan's personnel policy of recent years: he avoids large-scale reshuffles and prefers to maintain the key core of the government, limiting himself to targeted replacements, notes the Telegram channel "Duty Officer of the CIS".

The party "Civil Contract", led by the current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, won the parliamentary elections in the country. Commenting on its victory, Pashinyan stated that "the three-headed party of war has been defeated", referring to the bloc "Strong Armenia", the bloc "Armenia", and the party "Prosperous Armenia".
