Arrests and fines were imposed on the detained activists in Tbilisi.

The Tbilisi City Court imposed fines and administrative arrests on six activists detained for posters mentioning Bidzina Ivanishvili.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 26, police detained ten people in Tbilisi who were holding posters with offensive inscriptions about Bidzina Ivanishvili. The first to be detained was activist Tornike Toshkua, who spent a year in prison on charges of group violence. Later, Mariam Mekhanceishvili, Ia Melitauri, Nato Bolkvadze, Sandro Sekhnishvili, Lasha Dgebuadze, Vaso Beridze, Marine Nanava, Tornike Tikaridze, and Shako Bagdoshvili were detained.

All ten detained activists, accused of petty hooliganism (Article 166 of the Administrative Offenses Code), were brought to the Tbilisi City Court today. Their cases were considered by two judges. As of 23:20 MSK today, decisions have only been reported for six administrative cases.

Judge Zviad Tsekava imposed a fine of 3,000 lari (1,145 USD) on activist Tornike Toshkua, while Mariam Mekhanceishvili was fined 6,000 lari (2,290 USD). This same judge sentenced two participants of the action to arrests: Nato Bolkvadze received five days, and Shako Bagdoshvili - 10 days, reports Publika.

Judge Tornike Kapanadze imposed a fine of 5,000 lari (1,908 USD) on activist Vaso Beridze, although the Ministry of Internal Affairs demanded his arrest. The same judge sent action participant Ia Melitauri to a detention center for five days, reports Pirveli.

During the consideration of the administrative cases, the bailiffs used force against citizens - some people were forcibly removed from the courthouse. “According to eyewitnesses, they are shouting at those present and provoking conflicts to remove people from the building under this pretext,” writes Tbilisi_life.

Later, lawyer Marika Arevadze stated about the unjustified use of force by the bailiff. According to her, the bailiff pushed her and then forcibly removed her from the building. Arevadze reported this to the police, notes Netgazeti.
