Four fighters from Dagestan were killed in Ukraine

Magomed Sharukhanov, Maxim Shvets, and two of their fellow countrymen from the Kizlyar district were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have acknowledged at least 2050 military personnel from Dagestan killed there.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by July 27, officials and security forces officially named the names of at least 2046 killed military personnel from Dagestan in Ukraine.

The names of four killed in Ukraine from Dagestan were announced today by the administration of the Kizlyar district, reporting on the transfer of posthumous awards to their relatives.

The killed Alexey Smirnov, Aseldar Kurbanov, Magomed Sharukhanov, and Maxim Shvets were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, the official Telegram channel of the municipality reported.

The age and biographical details of the killed military personnel were not provided in the officials' message.

Thus, at least 2050 combatants from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report of "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".

In June, it became known that Ibrahim Abdulkerimov from the Kizlyar district was killed in Ukraine. Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the number of killed whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. Sergey Melikov, who headed Dagestan in February 2022, was the first among representatives of the authorities to announce that a Russian military personnel was killed in Ukraine, acknowledging the death of officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov.

In particular, the widow of one of the killed recounted that without a body, the battalion did not make payments related to the death of the military personnel.
