Drivers from Karachay-Cherkessia reported on the queues for cheap gasoline.

In Karachay-Cherkessia, the prices for gasoline and diesel fuel have increased since the beginning of the fuel crisis. The most significant rise is at private gas stations, while long queues form at gas stations with cheap gasoline, where drivers have to spend several hours, they reported.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the authorities of the North Caucasus regions have not announced limits on gasoline sales but have reported measures to prevent shortages. According to Rosstat, prices in Karachay-Cherkessia have not significantly increased.

Drivers from the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, interviewed by a correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot", had differing opinions on the fuel situation in the republic.

Fardin noted that prices have increased, at some gas stations by up to 2.5 times. "Where it's cheaper, the queues last one, two, or three hours. The last time I filled up, it was 78 rubles, and I waited for an hour and a half," he noted.

Tamerlan reported that at private gas stations, gasoline prices have risen to 127-130 rubles per liter. "Where the increase was moderate – up to 70-80 rubles, there are queues of one to two hours with 15-20 cars," he emphasized.

Akmet spoke of even greater price increases. "At some gas stations, gasoline is sold for 160-180 rubles. And where it's cheaper, the queues are like traffic jams at 6-7 points," he stated.

Viktor noted that the situation has improved slightly. "There are queues, but they are smaller than, for example, in the Stavropol Territory, but perhaps because there are simply fewer cars in KCR," he noted.

At the same time, Leonid and Alexander stated that prices have remained almost the same and there are no significant queues.

No drivers mentioned a shortage of diesel fuel. According to Tamerlan, gas prices in the republic have also increased. "If it used to cost 26 rubles, now it's 39," he told the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot".

The fuel problem arose against the backdrop of attacks on oil refineries, including those located in southern Russia. Thus, on June 10, a fire occurred at the refinery in the village of Afipsky. On June 5, an oil depot in Ust-Labinsk caught fire, requiring the evacuation of residents of nearby houses. On June 2, a fire broke out at the oil refinery in the village of Ilsk in the Sever district as a result of a drone attack. The fire was extinguished the same day.
