A new group of fighters has flown from Grozny to the SVO zone.

Another group of fighters trained at the Russian Special Forces University has flown from Grozny airport to the military operation zone.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the authorities of Chechnya regularly report on the dispatch of groups of fighters from the republic to the military operation zone in Ukraine, the last such report was published on July 7.

A new group of fighters trained at the Russian Special Forces University has departed from Chechnya to the military operation zone, the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, reported today. "Their formation took place at the territory of the international airport Grozny," he said on his Telegram channel.

A video attached to the post shows a group of fighters on the airfield. They are holding at least two flags of Chechnya with portraits of Akhmat Kadyrov, the flag of Russia, and two flags of the USSR.

According to the video, the fighters were seen off by the chairman of the government of the Chechen Republic, the head of the Regional Operational Headquarters for the SVO, Magomed Daudov.

It is worth noting that 70,520 fighters have been sent from Chechnya to participate in the fighting in Ukraine, of which 24,500 are volunteers, and there are 14,000 fighters in the combat zone, said the head of the republic's government, Magomed Daudov, on March 25. Regular reports from the Chechen authorities about the dispatch of groups of fighters to the military operation zone raise doubts that all of them are going to participate in the fighting voluntarily, users of social networks pointed out.

The data on the total number of security personnel sent from Chechnya since February 24, 2022, do not account for the number of military personnel who have been removed, are in barracks, on leave, or have left the combat zone as part of rotation. Against the backdrop of speculation about the large number of dispatched security personnel, since November 2022, each of Kadyrov's messages about the dispatch of another group has been accompanied by a call to contact the Grozny mayor's office and sign up as a volunteer. At the same time, the head of Chechnya regularly states that the flow of volunteers is not decreasing and that there are no problems with their recruitment.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that volunteers arriving in Chechnya to sign a military contract complained on January 14, 2025, that they were kept locked up for weeks to send them to the military operation zone instead of local residents who paid to avoid service. According to human rights defenders, coercion to sign contracts is practiced in Chechnya, and security personnel can create an 'exchange fund' from incoming volunteers from other regions who will sign contracts instead of locals.

The Russian Special Forces University is a training center organized by Ramzan Kadyrov in Gudermes, where volunteers are trained for dispatch to combat zones, and the "Akhmat" special forces are based.
