In the evening of July 24, the authorities of Abkhazia reported that electricity supply was partially restored.

The first large-scale blackout in the country occurred on the night of July 24, with restoration taking up to six hours. The second blackout occurred on the morning of July 25, and the supply was fully restored only after almost three hours.

The causes of both accidents have not yet been named; the Georgian State Electrosystem stated that specialists are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident and are eliminating the consequences.
