The director of the plant owned by Tsarukyan has been detained in Armenia.

Law enforcement detained Arman Davtyan, the director of the "Ararat" plant, owned by the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, Gagik Tsarukyan, on charges of tax evasion.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 7, the court arrested the leader of the opposition party "Prosperous Armenia", billionaire Gagik Tsarukyan, for two months, accused of fraud and tax evasion. The defense stated that there are documents proving that Tsarukyan is a victim in this case, and appealed his arrest.

The director of the Yerevan brandy-wine-vodka plant "Ararat", Arman Davtyan, has been detained on charges of tax evasion in a particularly large amount. The agency intends to apply to the court for a preventive measure, News.am reports on July 24.

The "Ararat" plant, which produces products under the "Noy" brand, belongs to the president of Multi Group, Gagik Tsarukyan. Earlier, his plant "Araratcement" was transferred to state management, and the sports and wellness complex "Multi Wellness" was transferred to the ownership of Yerevan. The shopping complex "Arinj Mall", owned by Tsarukyan, has been sealed by the employees of the Armenian State Revenue Committee.

Tsarukyan's party "Prosperous Armenia", along with other opposition political parties, previously issued a statement about the illegitimacy of the authorities and plans to seek their removal.
