Pro-European protests at the parliament of Georgia continue for the 601st day.

Supporters of Georgia's Eurointegration gathered at the parliament building for the 601st day, demanding the release of political prisoners and the repeal of repressive laws.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 20, protesters in Tbilisi marked 600 days of continuous actions at the parliament building and held a march in support of Giorgi Chigladze, detained in Telavi at the request of a Russian tourist. Today, Chigladze was released on bail.

Citizens of Georgia, demanding to return the country to a Euro-Atlantic course, gathered at the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue for the 601st consecutive day this evening. Activists are making unchanged demands for the release of political prisoners, the appointment of new elections, and the repeal of repressive laws, reports Publika.

Demonstrators with national flags, flags of the European Union, Ukraine, and the USA stood at the edge of the sidewalk near the roadway of Rustaveli Avenue. According to published videos and photos, more than 100 people participated in the gathering.

Protesters held signs saying "Don't stop the fight", "Court sessions must be open", "Freedom of media", and "Our victory is inevitable", according to photos by Giorgi Mosiashvili (Mo Se) on Facebook*.

One of the signs was dedicated to the convicted protest participant Luka Jabua: "Luka, happy birthday! You are with us." The activist, who is serving a two-year sentence in Gldani prison, turns 22 today.

In September 2025, the court sentenced 11 people, including Jabua, to two years in prison, recognizing them as participants in the riots. On April 17, the appellate court upheld this sentence.

Family members of prisoners of conscience, who visited Batumi, Kobuleti, and Ureki on July 20 and today, distributed more than 55,000 copies of the newspaper "Voice of Freedom from Prison" and "Cell 101". The publications with letters from political prisoners have been distributed by their relatives for over a year in various cities of the country, passing them from hand to hand, notes Netgazeti.

Participants in the protests in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Law enforcement has conducted harsh dispersals of protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. During the protests, thousands of people have faced administrative prosecution.
