The fuel crisis has spurred the interest of Kuban entrepreneurs in mini oil refineries.

Against the backdrop of the fuel crisis, Kuban entrepreneurs have become actively interested in compact oil processing units. In the first half of the year, the number of trades for their purchase increased more than twofold.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 19, social media users noted that in a month, prices for propane at private gas stations in the Krasnodar region jumped by 40 percent, while at federal network gas stations they remained unchanged.

This morning, 66 gas stations were operating in Krasnodar. The most scarce fuel remains AI-100 gasoline, which is sold at only 12 stations. AI-92 was available at 46 gas stations, AI-95 at 41, and diesel fuel at 56, reported "Bloknot Krasnodar".

State and municipal institutions in the Krasnodar region have faced problems with fuel procurement. Since the beginning of July, about 50 procurements of gasoline and diesel fuel have either not taken place or have been canceled in the region. In most cases, suppliers refused to participate in the trades, not wanting to take on price risks, noted "Yuga.ru" today.

Amid fears of a possible fuel shortage, entrepreneurs from the Krasnodar region have become actively interested in compact modular oil processing units (mini oil refineries). Over the past six months, the number of trades for the acquisition of mini oil refineries in the Krasnodar region has increased by 108.7 percent compared to the same period last year, reported "RBC Krasnodar" today, citing the electronic trading platform "TenderPro".

The growing interest of Kuban entrepreneurs in mini oil refineries is related to the situation in the fuel market, explained Elena Astafyeva, commercial director of "TenderPro". Considering government support, analysts expect further growth in the number of trades for mini oil refineries, she added.

"In the past year, we have observed a decrease in the number of investment projects in the oil and gas extraction sector – according to our estimates, their number has fallen by 77% compared to the first half of last year," said Astafyeva.

Krasnodar region accounted for 4.7 percent of such tenders, ranking third among Russian regions. Moscow and the Moscow region took first place (26.1 percent of trades), while St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region took second place (6.5 percent), the publication noted.

It is worth noting that the fuel crisis arose against the backdrop of drone attacks on oil refineries, including those located in Kuban. In the Krasnodar region, the fuel problem caused a sharp increase in demand for the installation of gas cylinder equipment. In auto services, customer queues have stretched several months ahead, and the cost of equipment has nearly doubled.
