A resident of Dagestan apologized for insulting traffic police officers.

A video has been published on social media showing a resident of Dagestan publicly apologizing to police officers for an insult. He explained that they had previously drawn up a report against him for tinting.

The video, in which the resident of Dagestan apologizes on camera, was published by the Instagram* public page dagestan__seichas. The description of the video states that he was allegedly forced to apologize and had his beard shaved off for insulting the law enforcement officers.

In the video frames, the resident of Dagestan is first shown with a beard. He stands against a door. According to him, his car was stopped by traffic police officers, and they drew up a report against him for tinting. The actions of the traffic police officers outraged the resident of Dagestan; he photographed the license plate of their vehicle and then accompanied this photo with an obscene insult and published it online.

Then the resident of Dagestan is shown without a beard. The young man stands in a room against the backdrop of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emblem, holding a Russian flag in his hands.

"I apologize to the police officers for publicly expressing bad words towards them and insulting them," the young man said in the video frames.

He then begins to recite a verse from the Russian anthem. "Russia is our sacred state, Russia is our beloved country. Mighty will, great glory – your heritage for all time," the resident of Dagestan recited a verse from the Russian anthem.

The majority of followers of the Instagram* public page dagestan__seichas were outraged that the resident of Dagestan was forced to make a public apology. At the same time, some commentators pointed out that his beard was shaved off.

For instance, in January 2023, the death of 35-year-old resident of Dagestan Kurban Dalgatov after interrogation at the police station caused a wide resonance. Relatives stated that Dalgatov died from asphyxiation, which occurred after he "was electrocuted in the heart area." The man sustained injuries before his death, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed. Three years after Dalgatov's death, most of the accused have not yet been sentenced, while five of them went to the Special Military Operation.
