A criminal case for illegal possession of ammunition has been initiated after security forces found three grenades and 58 cartridges in the house of a resident of the village of Plievo.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", at the end of June, the Malgobek City Court in Ingushetia sentenced 30-year-old Muhammad Marziev to six years in a penal colony for illegal acquisition and storage of an explosive device.

Police officers in Ingushetia, as part of the operational-preventive measure "Makh-2026", conducted searches in the house of a resident of the village of Plievo, during which they discovered three grenades, fuses for them, and 58 cartridges, writes Interfax on July 16, citing the press service of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the examination, two hand-held plastic smoke grenades RGD-P, an anti-tank hand-held cumulative grenade RKG-ZEM, and 58 combat cartridges of caliber 5.45 mm were found. The owner of the house stated that the ammunition belonged to his deceased brother, who died in 2000.

Criminal cases have been initiated for illegal possession of ammunition.
