Volgograd residents have drawn Bastrykin's attention to the water supply problem.

Investigators have begun checking officials after residents of the Volgograd village of Vodny recorded a collective video appeal to the head of the agency, Alexander Bastrykin, complaining about regular interruptions in water supply.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", residents of Volgograd and the Volgograd region often complain about water supply issues. For instance, on May 11, residents of the village of Zaplavnoe in the Lenin district recorded a video appeal to Putin and Bastrykin regarding the water supply problem in their homes. According to the villagers, appeals to the local administration went unanswered.

Residents of the Vodny village in the Soviet district of Volgograd recorded a collective video appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, complaining about the water supply issue.

The video appeal was published today by "Bloknot Volgograd". The footage shows several dozen residents, one of the residents speaking on camera. "We, the residents of the Vodny village, are recording this video appeal due to constant interruptions in water supply," she said.

The residents of the village were left without water supply in the midst of the heat, noted another local resident. "We are in a desperate situation, unable to do household chores – wash, bathe, or garden. We cannot manage our households. We ask for intervention in the fate of the village and for water to be provided to us," she said.

One functioning well is not enough for the needs of the entire village, the woman explained.

Another resident of Vodny noted that water supply is only available when it rains. "There used to be water. It would come in small amounts. But this year, there is none," she explained.

"Water comes in a thin stream after midnight, and by four in the morning, it is already gone," said another resident of the village.

As of 12:50 Moscow time, there are no comments on the Volgograd administration's website regarding the residents of Vodny's complaint about the water supply issue.

Investigators are conducting a check under the article on providing services that do not meet safety requirements, in connection with the residents of the Soviet district of Volgograd's complaint about the prolonged absence of water supply. The head of the agency, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the leadership of the Investigative Committee for the Volgograd region to report on its progress, the Investigative Committee reported on its website today.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in February, residents of Kotovo experienced interruptions in water and heating supply. Authorities, according to the residents, are not addressing the issue of the worn-out water supply network.
