The administration of Novoshakhtinsk named the fighters killed in the special military operation zone.

Igor Butikov, Alexander Shamin, and their fellow countrymen were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 937 fighters from the Rostov region have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by July 2, authorities and security forces officially recognized at least 915 military personnel from the Rostov region as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The administration of Novoshakhtinsk announced on its Telegram channel the transfer of posthumous awards to the relatives of participants in the military operation in Ukraine.

The message from July 3 states that Igor Butikov and Alexander Shamin, who were killed in the special military operation zone, were awarded posthumously.

On June 25, the city administration reported on its Telegram channel that Gevorg Alaverdyan, Vitaly Apukhtin, Sergey Gorpinchenko, Evgeny Kalashnikov, Shamil Medzhidov, Andrey Perelygin, Alexey Samkov, Alexander Uraskin, Andrey Chernyavsky, Alexey Shevchenko, Alexander Pozdnyshev, Artem Mankov, Yuri Khromov, and Alexander Ziborov were killed in combat in Ukraine.

On June 4, city authorities reported that Alexey Sarafanov, Sergey Rogozhnikov, Nikolai Dementyev, Dmitry Lebedev, Ramil Tyutin, and Alexander Lyubary were killed in the special military operation zone.

Thus, at least 937 fighters from the Rostov region have been officially recognized as killed.

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report from "Caucasian Knot" "SVO Statistics: Losses in Southern Russia are Increasing".

At the end of May, the administration of Novoshakhtinsk reported that Alexander Leyman, Alexander Panchenko, Roman Bondarenko, and Alexander Bogolyubov were killed in Ukraine.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, as stated in the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Deny Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers", which describes the stories of fighters from other regions. For instance, the mother of the killed Dmitry Ukhanov said that she searched for her son's body for four months, while officials from the administration and military enlistment office inquired about the progress of the search without providing any assistance.
