Kondratiev's attempt to explain the reasons for the spike in fuel prices caused irony among the residents of Kuban.

Fuel prices in Kuban have risen due to the tourist season and an influx of vacationers, said Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. Local residents, commenting on his words in Telegram, wondered why there was no spike in fuel prices in previous tourist seasons.

In Krasnodar Krai, against the backdrop of the peak tourist season, the demand for fuel has doubled. This is especially true for resorts and settlements along federal highways. In addition to the large tourist flow, field work is actively underway in the region. As a result, many gas stations are facing logistical problems, said the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev.

"We are working with suppliers to increase fuel delivery volumes," he wrote on June 29 in his Telegram channel.
