On the 575th day of protests, participants in a rally outside the Georgian Parliament expressed solidarity with Giorgi Chakhunashvili and Nana Sander, convicted in the case of the attempted storming of the presidential residence.

Sander's lawyer reported his client's grave psychological condition: he claimed Sander attempted suicide in prison due to psychological pressure, which public defender Levan Ioseliani is aware of, but this information is being ignored.

Supporters of Georgia's European integration, carrying national and EU flags, took to Rustaveli Avenue near Parliament for the 575th consecutive evening.

Protesters held posters in support of those convicted in the attempted storming of the presidential palace: "Solidarity and support for Giorgi Chakhunashvili" and "Freedom for Nana Sander." Another poster quoted Nana Sander as saying, "This state will kill me."

The demonstrators also carried posters reading "Freedom for Zviad Tsetskhladze" and "The Silenced Kots 1 Gave Tskhinvali to the Russians," according to photos published on Facebook* by photographer Giorgi Mosiashvili (Mo Se).

According to a video published on Radio Tbilisi's Facebook*, approximately 150 people participated in the gathering.

Droa Party leader Elene Khoshtaria was visited in prison today by a doctor. According to the doctor's report, the convicted opposition leader is experiencing severe pain and requires an examination at a multidisciplinary clinic, Pirveli reports.

"As a result of the patient's examination, damage to several joints, both peripheral and central, was revealed. Some joints, including small joints, the pelvis, knees, and hip joints, could not be fully examined due to severe pain, despite the patient's efforts," Dr. Maka Ioseliani said at a briefing.

She added that the examination, despite the patient's wishes, was complicated because Khoshtaria "had difficulty lying down on the examination table."

Elena Khoshtaria was also visited in prison by her mother, Irina Guntsadze. After the meeting, Guntsadze was shocked by her daughter's condition. “What I saw was incredible… Bent over at the waist, with bruises on her face, unable to move or stand still, leaning on a cane… Unable to sleep at night from the pain,” she said on Formula.

Protesters in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Security forces violently dispersed the protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. Thousands of people were subjected to administrative prosecution during the protests.
