As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," as of June 23, government and security officials officially recognized at least 2,009 soldiers from Dagestan as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

In the Karabudakhkent district, posthumous awards have been presented to the families of servicemen killed during the military operation in Ukraine, the municipal administration reported on its Telegram channel.

The Order of Courage was presented to the families of Isa Chopalaev and Khidirnabi Gadzhiev, the publication states.

Thus, at least 2,011 servicemen from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" is maintaining a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
