The Constitutional Court accepted the opposition's complaints against the results of the Armenian parliamentary elections.

The Constitutional Court of Armenia has accepted for review the complaints of seven political forces against the results of the parliamentary elections; all complaints have been consolidated into one proceeding.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," seven parties appealed the Central Election Commission's final decision on the parliamentary elections to the Constitutional Court. Armenia Party leader Robert Kocharyan also challenged the commission's decision to permit his criminal prosecution in administrative court.

The Constitutional Court of Armenia has accepted for review the complaints of seven political forces against the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections. The complaints were filed by the Strong Armenia and Armenia blocs, the Wings of Unity, Democracy, Law, and Discipline, Prosperous Armenia, and New Force parties, as well as the Alliance of Democracy Defenders for the Republic bloc. They are challenging the Central Election Commission's decision of June 14 regarding the results of the National Assembly elections.

The court has combined the cases into one proceeding, as they relate to the same issue. The hearing will take place on June 26 at 11:00, ArmLur reports.

Constitutional Court Judge Edgar Shatiryan has been appointed rapporteur on the case, and the combined case will be heard orally, Yerevan Today reports.

However, the parties have different demands. The Strong Armenia bloc has demanded that the election results be annulled or a second round be held, Wings of Unity wants the results to be invalidated and a rerun held, and New Force wants the results annulled due to doubts about the legality of the vote. The Prosperous Armenia Party insists on either annulling the results and holding reruns of elections nationwide, or on a different procedure for distributing parliamentary mandates. The Armenia bloc has also demanded that the election results be annulled. Artsvik Minasyan, a representative of the bloc, stated that the voting results must be "nullified." The Alliance of Democracy Defenders for the Republic intends to raise the issue of the systemic influence of pre-election bribes on the election results in court. The Democracy, Law, and Discipline party claims that the recorded violations significantly impacted the actual expression of the will of the voters, according to Armenia Today. The Civil Contract party received 61 seats in parliament, the Strong Armenia bloc received 28 seats, and the Armenia bloc received 12 seats, according to the Central Election Commission of Armenia. Taking into account the mandates of national minorities, the Civil Contract has 64 mandates, and Karapetyan's bloc - 29. Six opposition parties declared the elections illegitimate and blamed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for further escalation of the situation.

Analysts named the Prosperous Armenia party of oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan, the Armenia bloc of former President Robert Kocharyan, and the Strong Armenia bloc of businessman Samvel Karapetyan as the most pro-Russian participants in the elections.
