Armenia bloc leader Robert Kocharyan was barred from departing from Zvartnots Airport without explanation.

As reported by the Caucasian Knot, the Armenian Central Election Commission announced the final results after a vote recount. According to them, Prosperous Armenia received 3.893% of the vote, failing to clear the parliamentary threshold. Three parties entered parliament: Civil Contract with 49.74% of the vote, Strong Armenia with 23.27%, and Armenia with 9.92%. The Civil Contract party received 64 seats in parliament, Strong Armenia with 29 seats, and Armenia with 12 seats, the Armenian Central Election Commission stated. Six opposition parties declared the elections illegitimate and blamed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for further escalation of the situation.

Law enforcement officials at Zvartnots Airport prevented Armenia's second president, leader of the Armenia bloc, Robert Kocharyan, from leaving Armenia, News.Am reports.

Today, the office of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, announced that the president would be leaving Armenia for three days. The visit is personal, had been long-planned, and was postponed due to his busy election schedule.

"We have never provided information in advance about the president's numerous previous visits due to their private nature. "However, given the authorities' recent dissemination of false information about visits by opposition representatives, we consider it necessary to protect the public from the expected dose of government lies," Robert Kocharyan's office noted.

Bagrat Mikoyan, head of the office of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, reported that Kocharyan had been banned from leaving the country without explanation. "President Kocharyan's departure from the country was illegally prohibited without any justification," Mikoyan stated.

The head of the second president's office also criticized the authorities' actions. "If anyone thinks that President Kocharyan could leave the country and disappear, they are deeply mistaken," he said.

"The former president's previous private visits were never announced in advance. However, given the recent disinformation from the authorities about opposition members' trips, the office considered it necessary to protect the public from another round of fakes. The "Prosperous Armenia" Party of oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan, bloc Former President Robert Kocharyan's "Armenia" party and businessman Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia" bloc are the most pro-Russian participants in the Armenian parliamentary elections, analysts previously noted.
