Farmers in Anapa have succeeded in changing the boundaries of a cemetery.

Anapa Mayor Svetlana Maslova responded to the protest of residents of the Chekon village, who opposed the construction of a new cemetery. The mayor acknowledged that people's concerns are valid.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, residents of the Chekon village recorded a video message to the head of Anapa, Svetlana Maslova, demanding that she not allow the organization of a new cemetery on land whose groundwater supplies their wells with drinking water.

Svetlana Maslova responded to the complaint from residents of the Chekon village today on her Telegram channel.

"Regarding the cemetery in the Chekon village. I have seen the appeals from residents of Novaya Street. I believe that people's concerns are valid. I inform you that burials will not be carried out on the site that has caused concern," the official said in a statement.
 
According to Maslova, the boundaries of the territory will be The fence will be adjusted and moved closer to the existing burial area. The site, located in close proximity to the water and riverbed, will not be used.
