The Southern District Military Court sentenced a Sevastopol resident to 5.5 years for comments on a messenger deemed to justify terrorism.

The Southern District Military Court sentenced Sevastopol resident Alexander Maliarenko, finding him guilty of publicly justifying terrorism and publicly calling for extremist and terrorist activity.

The court found that Maliarenko, while in Sevastopol, posted texts and comments on a messenger containing justifications in April 2024, January 2025, and March 2025. actions of the Ukrainian military (eight publications in total). In particular, he approved air and missile strikes on populated areas of the Russian Federation, the Crimean Bridge, and the invasion of the Kursk region. He also called for attacks on Crimea and Sevastopol, 1rnd.ru reported on June 9.

Also in March, April, and December 2024, and in February, March, and April 2025, he posted seven messages calling for violence against Russian citizens.

The court found Maliarenko guilty and sentenced him to five and a half years in a penal colony.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that on June 4, the Southern District Military Court sentenced a Kropotkin resident, fining him for a comment on a messenger deemed a public justification of terrorism.
